I always wondered why there was never a “George Harrison” bass offered by the company,
because it’s such a great unique and classic design. The XC is beautiful, and these are also very cool looking.
If I had one,I’d probably swap the low tension flatwounds out for a very light set of roundwounds, and play it more chordally like a guitar.
After starting out on Hofner basses, I just never cottoned to playing short scales.
Looking forward to the 4002 SPC article-the 4 I’ve seen so far are SPECTACULAR.
