There's some photos on this Rickresource thread of George's 360/12 when it was in the Grammy museum, OP made sure to get a nice clear shot of the red side dots (along with a great collection of closeup photos).

It's 3:15AM and I am up reading about red dots.
I remember seeing red and some brown side dots on 4001 necks while working in the factory during the summer of 1974.
First time I saw red dots was on a really worn out white 70's 4001. I think they look amazing and help better as a guide.
Of course I always thought side dots were important, but I really understood that when I got my Höfner 500/1.
I wonder where the dots are on McCartney's bass with the right-handed neck?
